A collection of 16 engraved prints, in crayon-manner, with etching; plate-marks averaging 33 x 24 cm., printed to sheets of 49 x 35 cm. With wear to margins of four sheets, not affecting prints. Titles being Admiration, Attention, Compassion, and Maternal attention (dated March 1 and corresponding to Abbey 188, nos. 1-4); Veneration, Meditation, Sympathy, and Rapture (April 1; Abbey, nos. 6-8); Solicitude, Pain, Pleasure, and Contempt (May 1; Abbey, nos. 9-12); and Supplication, Reverie, Inquiry, and Surprise (July 1; Abbey nos. 17-20). Accompanied by three sets of the original printed wrappers (disbound), with manuscript additions to front wrappers identifying them as numbers 2, 3, and 5, and with identical publisher's advertisements to rear wrappers.
